BIOGRAPHY

JTB x Benji is an American Musical Duo of two young men from the SF Bay Area. It is composed of JTB (JonanTheBarzbarian / Jonan Harris-Beck) and Benji (BenjiBeatz / Ben Brathwaite). JTB is a rapper, songwriter and actor.  Benji is a music producer, singer, songwriter, dancer, drummer and pianist.

The two write and produce their own songs by creating unique beats and lyrics. They are capable of creating diverse styles of music to appeal to different types of audiences.

They hope to attain a higher fan base and spread their music further to eventually perform at large venues such as "Rolling Loud."  Their recent accomplishments include, winning the 2019 "Coast to Coast" SF Bay Area Rap competition and opening in concert for the R&B Hip Hop artist, Derek King, in both SF & Fresno, CA.

Prior to becoming a duo, JTB had performed at numerous venues including concerts, churches, talent shows & school dances. Although, music is his first passion, Theater is his second and he has performed in many plays and musicals. While JTB functioned as the high school Rally Emcee for 2 years, he and Ben were able to perform in front of a student body of over 3200 students.

Benji has competed and won numerous dance competitions. His incredible musical talents as a pianist, drummer & composer allows him to not only produce beats for JTB x Benji but for other artists as well. JTB x Benji has also performed at Bay Area parties.

Their single, "Solo" was recently featured on the 106.1 KMEL radio station after winning the SF Bay Area popular vote. This same single has reached over 24k streams on Spotify. Their "G.M.M.U." song on Sound Cloud has almost 20K plays. Ultimately, the potential of JTB x Benji is tremendous and they hope to achieve their goals in the near future.
